How to Win

  1. Log on to ncca.gov.ph and download the entry form
  2. Entry Guidelines
    • Student
      • Entries shall be design for clothes which can be used as school uniform for students or teachers and for other school activities
    • Professional
      • Entries shall be design for clothes which may be used in offices or for events requiring Smart Casual Wear
    • Fashion/Clothing Line Companies
      • Entries shall be design for clothes for casual or daily activities to include but not limited to dress, blouses, shirts, skirts, shorts, and pants
      • The clothes shall be included in the product line of the company
    • The entry should be your original design and concept, but you may opt to have it sewn by a seamstress
    • The ethnicity of the design should not be token (e.g. just traditional motifs on the collar, pockets of cuffs), but should cover at least one-third of the total clothing
    • Contemporary, innovative and practical designs are allowed. However, the final product (clothes) should clearly bear the ethnic source, i.e. Gaddang, Ilokano, Kapampangan, Subanen, Tboli, Yakan
    • The sources of traditional woven materials could be any of the Philippine indigenous or traditional ethnic groups in the country, including peoples in the highlands, Muslim communities and lowland Christian communities
    • The clothes must be eminently wearable, practical, comfortable, non-toxic and inexpensive, yet artistic and elegant which will be for use in office, school and other daily activities

  4. Judging Criteria
    • 25% Strength of the concept and inspiration of the design
    • 25% Wearability
    • 20% Appropriate use of the indigenous or traditional materials
    • 20% Originality/creativity
    • 10% Workmanship
  5. You may submit two (2) entries
  6. Sketch of the design is optional
  7. Non-winning entries will be returned to the designers after the awarding
  8. Winning designs shall be published/ featured in the NCCA official newsletter, Agung, NCCA website, and NCCA social media accounts
  9. The decision of the judges is final and not appealable
  10. Prizes subject to applicable taxes
